Threat Intelligence and Security Automation
Cybersecurity professional with a passion for building resilient systems and sharing practical, actionable knowledge. For over six years, he has served as a Senior Security Engineer at FS-ISAC, where he’s helped defend financial institutions against emerging threats through automation, intelligence sharing, and member collaboration.
At FS-ISAC, Charles has led the development of internal tooling and security automation workflows, strengthened operational defenses, and worked closely with global member institutions to improve cyber resilience. His work has focused on bridging the gap between threat intel and actionable defense, often partnering with threat intelligence teams to develop detection engineering solutions.
Leadership, Education and Mentorship
Charles has also contributed to global cybersecurity knowledge through his involvement with ISC2, during his time at ISC2 he helped shape certification training material, contributed to education strategy, and supported efforts to make cybersecurity careers more accessible and inclusive.
For five years Charles worked as ISC2's ISSO and helped with technology transformation, implementaton of a world class security program. During his time at ISC2 he was heavily involved with their foundation, providing materials, and teaching cyber safety to seniors and youth alike. He also worked as the corporate liason for ISO and NIST.
Personal and Home
When he’s not securing systems, Charles is building content to teach cybersecurity fundamentals , certification prep, and developing creative projects like Auros, a cyber safety mascot designed for children. He’s passionate about mentoring, lifelong learning and making the security field more human, creative, and community-driven.complex cyber landscape.
Charles shares a passion for the cybersecurity and bringing and mentoring others into the field. He loves his family, and can be found camping or near the closest fishing hole.
